1997. TV Naturalist David Bellamy visited Broughton with members of Oxfordshire's wildlife trust BBONT. Bellamy came to celebrate the return of otters to the River Cherwell after an absence of 20 years. The organisation had built 25 otter holts to encourage the shy creatures back.
